There are numerous bottled water delivery companies and you should have no difficulty finding multiple companies to bid on your business. Quality….Bottled water is available in numerous variations. The two most common from commercial suppliers are:
Spring Water - sourced from underground spring and typically flows to the surface naturally without pumping. The resulting bottled product must have the same character as the original water.
Purified Water – Typically sourced from a municipal supply (i.e. tap water), this water has been “purified” in any one of a number of different methods including reverse osmosis, distillation, or other means of filtration.
There is no direct correlation to quality for either type of water. While spring water may seem more natural, the composition of purified water is generally more controllable and likely more consistent. Many experts endorse purified water that has been stripped of all its mineral content thru a process such as reverse osmosis. An equal number of experts proclaim the importance of those same minerals in the water for both health and taste.
So, how do you pick your water?
Pick your water quality by taste! Aquaverve water coolers utilize stainless steel reservoirs to ensure that no off flavors or odors are imparted to the water. Select an appropriate panel to taste the offerings from your potential water suppliers.
Convenience….There are two aspects to convenience to consider:
Supplier Convenience – Are deliveries going to meet your needs considering storage space (for both full and empty bottles), billing, security, etc.? Will the supplier offer you a water racking system at no charge? Will the supplier deliver the water to a convenient location accessible from your fitness center?
Usage Convenience – Ideally your water supplier should offer the no-spill feature built into the 5 gallon bottle cap. This will eliminate possible water spills when changing bottles. All Aquaverve water dispensers come with a built in no-spill system designed to utilize this cap feature (as pictured).
Aquaverve does offer no-spill conversion caps with all coolers. These caps convert standard 5 gallon bottles (that do not incorporate the convenient no-spill cap as pictured) into no-spill systems. These conversion caps are spring loaded, and while they are better than mopping up spills every time a bottle is changed, they must be transferred from bottle to bottle and accordingly are not as convenient as the no-spill caps built into the bottle cap.
